Ministry ESSENTIALS COURSES
Build a strong biblical foundation. Prepare to serve effectively.
The Ministry Essentials Certificate provides a practical foundation in Scripture, Christian theology, spiritual formation, and ministry practice. Through six focused courses, learners explore the Old and New Testaments, core Christian doctrine, discipleship, biblical interpretation, and effective communication of Scripture. The program is designed for those preparing for ministry, currently serving in the Church, or simply seeking a deeper biblical and theological foundation for faithful Christian service.

Explore the major people, events, themes, and writings of the Old Testament while developing an understanding of its historical and cultural context. Learners will examine how the Old Testament reveals God’s redemptive purposes and provides an essential foundation for understanding the biblical story and Christian faith.

Course Description

Learners will examine the life and ministry of Jesus, the development of the early Church, the teachings of the apostles, and the continuing significance of the New Testament for Christian life and ministry.

Course Description
Examine foundational Christian doctrines including Scripture, God, creation, humanity, sin, and the person and work of Jesus Christ. Learners will explore how these beliefs emerge from Scripture and why sound theology matters for Christian life, ministry, and practice.

Course Description
Continue the study of Christian theology through doctrines including salvation, the Holy Spirit, the Church, spiritual gifts, Christian life, and last things. Learners will consider how theological convictions shape spiritual formation, ministry practice, and participation in the mission of God.

Course Description

Learners will examine personal spiritual development, dependence on the Holy Spirit, discipleship, servant leadership, and the responsibility of helping others mature in their faith.
